Accessing Reporting in My Ads

Understanding how your Sponsored Products campaigns perform is key to optimizing your advertising strategy. My Ads provides robust reporting tools that give you insights into impressions, clicks, spend, and conversions; all in one place. In this article, we will walk you through where to find these reports within the platform and how to access the data you need to measure success and make informed decisions.

How To Access Reporting in My Ads

When you log into My Ads, you will land on your Campaign Summary Screen. Here you will see an overview of all your campaigns. In this screen, you can see metrics such as start and end dates, budget, delivered spend and average CPC, select campaigns and make optimizations.

To get more in-depth reporting, select the Reporting dropdown in the header. You will see a few options for how to view your reports:

  • Summary dashboard – a roll-up view of all your campaigns in a consolidated view
  • All campaigns – a campaign-by-campaign breakdown
  • Recent – see the list of campaigns you have recently viewed
  • Reports – view your custom reports, including campaigns you are watching and stacked reports you have built

Summary Dashboard:

Use this view for a high-level picture of your total performance.

  • Use the date picker to select the timeframe you want to view and the filters to include active and completed campaigns

  • Click on the campaign type line to get a campaign-by-campaign breakdown of all the campaigns within that vehicle.

  • In the next screen, you will see your list of campaigns, metrics and a few actions you can take. Select the ellipses to see the available actions.

  • Options include viewing the report specific to that campaign (you can also do this by simply clicking on the campaign in the grid view), adding the report to a list of campaigns to watch and quickly access later, adding the report to a stacked list of campaigns, and downloading the report specific to this campaign.

Watching Campaigns:

Selecting a campaign to watch places it in the “Reports” Section of the Reporting dropdown for quick reference.

  • To quickly view your “watched” reports, navigate to the “reports” section of My Ads. Here you can select your “Watched” reports, “stacked” reports, or “build” your stacked reports by vehicle.

Stacking Reports:

Stacking reports allows you to view the performance of a select group of campaigns in one view and download the view. To build stacked reports:

  1. Find the campaigns you would like to include and use the action ellipses to add the campaign to the stack.
  2. Navigate to the “Reports” section of the Reporting tab in My Ads.
  3. In the “view by” drop-down, select “build Sponsored Products (X)” and ensure the number of campaigns listed aligns with the number of campaigns you added to your stack.
  4. Select “Report Actions” and “Save Stacked" report.

  5. Name the report and Save.

View Detailed Reporting:

To view detailed reporting for a specific campaign, simply click on its title or select “view” in the action ellipses.

After selecting the campaign you would like to review, you’ll see options to view and customize its data. In the Single Campaign View screen, use the ellipses menu in the top-right corner of the graph to toggle different metrics on the trend line graph.

  1. Scroll down to explore the available tabs, each offering a different slice of data. There are four options to choose from:
    • Product: Shows how each advertised SKU performs in terms of impressions, clicks, spend, and sales. It provides clear visibility into product‑level contribution, helping identify top performers and areas for optimization within a campaign.
    • Keyword: Displays the top 1,000 keywords ranked by delivered spend. This view helps to understand which search terms are driving engagement with active sponsored product SKUs and their relative importance to overall campaign performance.
    • Placement: Shows where sponsored product listings are displayed across our site. These placements include the Homepage carousel, product detail page (PDP), cart recommendation engines, search autocomplete, and in‑grid browse listings across search and category pages. This view helps users understand which placements resonate most with customers.
    • Platform: Shows performance across BestBuy.com’s platforms: Large View (desktop browsers), Android app, iOS app, and Small View (mobile web browsers). This view helps illustrate how customers browse and purchase sponsored products across different devices. Typically, click‑through rates are higher on mobile apps and mobile web, while return on ad spend (ROAS) is stronger on desktop, reflecting the common pattern where shoppers browse on mobile but complete purchases on desktop.

  2. You can also use the “Modify Columns Menu” to customize the metrics for these views.

  3. To adjust the reporting timeframe, use the date picker to choose either a preset or a custom range. Once your selection is made, click Apply to update the view.

  4. To download this report, click the download icon found in the upper-right corner, next to the date range selector. Users can download a formatted report or a raw data report.
