EDI 163 Transportation Appointment Request

Best Buy has developed an automated, electronic process to create dock scheduling appointments utilizing the EDI 163 Transportation Appointment Request document. For carriers interested in exchanging EDI 163 with Best Buy for dock scheduling, submit your request via the EDI 163 Application and Form (below) to get added to the review list. You will receive an update on your submitted application within one business week of receiving your request.

EDI 163 will allow you to request, replace, reissue, and cancel a dock appointment at Best Buy facilities. In return, Best Buy will send an EDI 163 response granting your request, cancellation, or a rejection. If utilizing the 163 document, you will no longer need to login to Best Buy’s Dock Scheduling system to create appointments manually, saving time and labor.

Pre-paid Truckload and LTL Carriers:

  • EDI 163 will allow you to submit a dock appointment request and receive a confirmation EDI 163 in return from Best Buy.

Collect Truckload and LTL Carriers:

  • EDI 163 will allow you to reschedule a dock appointment and receive a confirmation EDI 163 in return from Best Buy.
