Highlights from our FY24 Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Report
Published 07/26/2024We’re excited to share our FY24 Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability report, which highlights the work we’re doing to build a more sustainable future, support our employees, bring the best experiences to our customers, and serve the communities where we live and work.
At Best Buy, we are guided by our purpose to enrich lives through technology. We believe strongly in the importance of creating long-term value for all our stakeholders: employees, customers, shareholders, vendors and communities.
Over the last year, we have helped our customers reduce their energy consumption, expanded the network of Best Buy Teen Tech Centers, fostered a culture of belonging and engagement for our employees, and more.
We’re proud of the progress we’ve made and know we have work yet to do. Here are some of the things we accomplished in FY24:
- Reduced carbon emissions 69% (over a 2009 baseline), compared to our goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2040.
- Helped our customers recycle more than 170 million pounds of electronics and appliances.
- Achieved 10 zero waste TRUE certified supply chain facilities, bringing us closer to our goal of certifying all U.S. supply chain facilities by 2025.
- Helped the Best Buy Foundation grow its network of Best Buy Teen Tech Center® locations to 59, increasing access to tech for youth across the country.
- Continued to build a culture of belonging for our employees. We saw membership in our Enterprise Inclusion Groups grow by more than 16%.
