NOW LIVE: New Product Compliance Attribute for Flame Retardant Chemicals
 

What is changing?

• Best Buy will be adding a new compliance attribute to select product categories: “Subject to State Flame Retardant Sales Restrictions.”
• This attribute is intended to identify products that contain flame retardant chemicals that may be restricted for sale in certain states.

What products are impacted?

• This requirement will apply to products within categories that may be subject to state flame retardant restrictions, including but not limited to electronic displays and monitors, televisions, furniture, mattresses, certain textile and upholstered products, and additional categories identified as regulations evolve.

What action is required?

• Vendors and sellers must review applicable products and confirm whether each product is subject to state flame retardant sales restrictions by making a “True or False” selection.

NOTE: If you do not provide updates to impacted SKUs, your products could be blocked from sales in impacted states. Your vendor/seller agreement requires that all products comply with federal, state, and local laws.
