As a supplier to Best Buy, when your product needs to be removed from sale due to quality or safety concerns, Best Buy requires the following:
- The SKU(s) of the affected product will be flagged in our point-of-sale systems as unauthorized to sell the same day of the announcement or request. Best Buy will manage and own this process
- All product of the affected SKU number(s) will be returned to the vendor, regardless if only select serial numbers are involved. The vendor must provide a Return Authorization for all product in Best Buy’s supply chain for Best Buy to facilitate the return to vendor.
- Product with unaffected serial numbers or corrected product must be set-up with a new UPC and new SKU before entering back into the Best Buy supply chain. Vendor will own this process.
- ProductSafety@bestbuy.com must be included in the notice to Best Buy of any product withdrawals or recalls due to quality or safety concerns.
