About the list

Fortune partnered with Korn Ferry, a prominent global organizational and research firm, to create this corporate reputation list, which considers the highest-revenue companies in 52 industries, including 333 companies in 30 countries.

To determine the rankings, Korn Ferry polled some 3,700 corporate executives, directors, and analysts to rate enterprises in their own industries. They were judged on nine criteria covering financial performance, leadership, quality of products and services, investment value, ability to attract and retain top talent, responsibility to community and the environment, and long-term investment value.
