We are proud of the work we do every day to help our customers save energy and live a more sustainable lifestyle. And getting recognized for it makes it even better.

That is why we are excited to be named ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year for the ninth year in a row.

Every year, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) highlights organizations that have made outstanding contributions to protecting the environment through superior energy efficiency achievements. We were awarded ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year for our efforts in protecting the environment and helping consumers save energy and cost savings. This includes our wide selection of energy-efficient product offerings and becoming a founding member of the Breakthroughs 2030: Retail campaign, a Race to Zero initiative.

Winners of this award are selected from a network of thousands of ENERGY STAR partners. For a complete list of 2022 winners and more information about the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award, visit energystar.gov/awardwinners.

Helping our customers live more sustainably

From smart thermostats to washers, Best Buy makes it easy to shop and live more sustainably. We’re proud to offer a wide variety of ENERGY STAR® certified products that use less energy and help reduce energy bills. To celebrate the EPA’s 30th anniversary of its Climate Partnerships Program, Best Buy’s Head of Environmental Sustainability, Tim Dunn, was featured in a short video on our partnership. In a video produced by Best Buy, Tim talked about how important the ENERGY STAR program is for our goal to help our customers reduce their carbon emissions, and why Best Buy has been a long-time partner with the EPA.

In June 2019, we set our first goal around helping our customers save energy through products sold at Best Buy. As part of that goal, we committed to helping our customers reduce their carbon emissions by 20%, saving customers more than $5 billion on their energy bills by 2030.
