Best Buy is proud to be recognized on DiversityInc’s 2023 list of Top 50 Companies for Diversity. This is our first time in the Top 50.

We also were ranked No. 17 on DiversityInc’s Top Companies for Board of Directors list.

DiversityInc evaluates companies on workplace fairness, equity and inclusion initiatives, and outcomes focused on leadership accountability, organizational programs and practices, and representation of company leadership.

We know that a culture of equity and inclusion is fundamentally important to the long-term success of our business. In 2020, Best Buy committed to do better and build an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects our communities. We set major goals to make systemic, permanent changes that address underrepresentation, technology inequities and other social injustices to improve our company and communities.

In support of and in addition to these commitments, here are some of our efforts to build an inclusive and equitable workplace:

  • We provide opportunities, such as our Tidal Wave program and McKinsey Management Accelerator, for employees to learn new skills and grow their careers.
  • We provide our employees and their families with a variety of resources to help make life less stressful and improve their well-being, particularly around childcare, mental health, and paid and parental leave. We also recently partnered with Joshin, a support system for disability and neurodivergence in the workplace and life.
  • We address pay gaps associated with gender or race through regular reviews of pay data, policies, practices and more.
  • We have eight employee resource groups and more than 20 inclusion groups for employees to find community, participate in mentorship programs and share experiences with one another.
