For the eighth consecutive year, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has named Best Buy as an ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year.
We’ve also received the distinction of Sustained Excellence for being awarded Partner of the Year for more than two straight years. The Sustained Excellence award is the highest honor from the ENERGY STAR program.
We are proud of this recognition and the work we do every day to help our customers save energy. That includes our commitment to help our customers reduce their own carbon emissions 20% by 2030 through the use of ENERGY STAR certified products, saving more than $5 billion on their energy bills.
Nearly half of our customers end up selecting an ENERGY STAR certified product when available, and more than 56 million ENERGY STAR certified products have been purchased at Best Buy since our baseline goal year of 2017. As a result, our customers have collectively reduced their carbon emissions by the equivalent of removing 3 million cars off the roads for an entire year.

Winners of this award are selected from a network of thousands of ENERGY STAR partners. For a complete list of 2021 winners and more information about the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award, visit energystar.gov/awardwinners.
